Best Starbucks Teas to Order
This list of the most popular Starbucks tea drinks is the perfect guide if you’re not sure what’s the best tea to get on your next trip to Starbucks.
If you’ve been wondering which tea beverages other Starbucks customers order over and over again, then this list is for you.
You’ll love that these best-selling Starbucks teas are ranked according to the tea beverages that real customers order most often.
Compiled by a seven-year Starbucks barista (my daughter), consider this list a recommendation from a friend in-the-know.
As a bonus, some of these Starbucks teas are so tasty, I’ve included links to my at-home copycat recipes.
1. Iced Chai Tea Latte
The most popular Starbucks tea drink is the Iced Chai Tea Latte.
No matter the season, Starbucks customers can’t seem to get enough of this sweet and spicy iced tea latte.
A delicious mixture of chai concentrate and milk makes the Starbucks Iced Chai Tea Latte a best seller.
With notes of cinnamon, cloves, ginger and honey this black tea drink is favorite among tea and coffee drinkers.
Of course, this latte also provides a nice caffeine boost.

2. Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte
Since the Iced Chai Tea Latte is a Starbucks best-seller, it’s not surprising that an Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte is wildly popular, too.
In fact, the Iced Vanilla Chai is just a modification of the original.
In other words, adding vanilla is considered a customization. As such, each pump of syrup may cost a little extra.
That being said, to order this cold beverage, simply ask the barista for an Iced Chai Tea Latte and specify how many pumps of vanilla syrup you want.
If this drink is on your radar to order, just keep in mind, each additional pump of syrup not only adds flavor, but some sweetness too.
And since the chai is pre-sweetened, my recommendation is to go easy on the syrup.
As an alternative, Starbucks also has sugar-free vanilla syrup.
Either way, this latte is delicious and clearly a favorite among Starbucks tea drinkers.
3. Chai Latte (Hot)
Move over iced chai, Starbucks Hot Chai Latte makes the list of customer favorites, too.
While both the iced and hot chai lattes share the same ingredients (except the hot latte has hot water instead of ice), surprisingly, they are very different drinks.
Yet, they’re equally as delicious, just in an entirely different way.
Once you have a sip of this hot chai latte, it’s easy to see why it’s an iconic Starbucks drink.
Made by combining spicy chai tea concentrate with creamy, steamed milk and a scoop of foam, the hot chai latte really is warm and cozy.
It’s certainly one of my favorite teas to order, especially during the fall and winter.
Additionally, if you want a reduced-calorie chai latte, just ask the barista to make it with Teavana chai tea bags.
4. Vanilla Chai Latte (Hot)
At this point it should come as no surprise that a Hot Vanilla Chai Latte is also a very popular tea at Starbucks.
Similar to the Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte, a regular chai latte is customized with a couple pumps of vanilla or sugar-free vanilla syrup.
Then, of course, toasty hot chai and steamed milk are poured over the vanilla and the whole drink is topped with a scoop of foam.
5. Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte
Starbucks matcha drinks, like the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte, are also among Starbucks most popular tea drinks.
Sweetened matcha green tea powder and milk are shaken together and poured over ice to create Starbucks infamous Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte.
This matcha drink is sweet and creamy and easy to see why it’s a favorite among Starbucks tea drinkers.
Importantly, this drink is caffeinated and since Starbucks matcha powder contains sugar, it cannot be ordered sugar-free.

6. Iced Green Tea
Starbucks Iced Green Tea is a delicious mixture of liquid cane sugar, iced green tea and filtered ice.
What’s awesome is this refreshing iced tea can be made sugar-free and calorie-free just by asking the barista to leave out the syrup.
7. Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade
Starbucks Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade is a thirst-quenching combination of peach-flavored fruit juice, iced green tea and lemonade.
It’s sweetened with liquid cane sugar and hand-shaken with ice. My favorite part is when it’s poured into the cup and is a little fizzy on top.
Like all green teas, Starbucks iced green tea drinks contain caffeine.
8. Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino
One of Starbucks most popular creme-based blended beverages is the Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino.
This green-colored frappuccino is a simple blend of sweetened matcha powder, ice, milk, creme frappuccino syrup and classic syrup.
Of course, a big of swirl of vanilla whipped cream makes this tea-based frappuccino irresistable.

9. Iced Black Tea
This classic Iced Black Tea drink is a simple blend of black iced tea and liquid cane sugar shaken with ice.
Reminiscent of southern sweet tea, the only thing missing is a lemon wedge.
However, to get a little lemon flavor, simply ask for a splash of lemonade or order an Iced Black Tea Lemonade.
This bold iced tea is crisp and refreshing and a good option if you want an iced cold caffeinated beverage.
10. Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade
Starbucks Iced Passion Tango Tea is the tastiest blend of hibiscus, lemongrass and apple.
Sweetened with liquid cane sugar, like all Starbucks iced tea lemonade drinks, Passion Tango is handshaken with ice and lemonade.
As you can imagine, this beautiful pink herbal iced tea is sweet and tasty and caffeine-free.

11. Iced Passion Tango Tea
If you want to enjoy the taste of Iced Passion Tango Tea sans lemonade then this customer-favorite is the perfect pick.
A handshaken blend of Passion Tango tea, liquid cane sugar and ice certainly quenches your thirst.
Personally, my favorite way to order Passion Tango is without sugar and with a small splash of lemonade. Pink perfection in a cup.
12. Honey Citrus Mint Tea
Originally a customer creation, “Medicine Ball Tea” was so popular that Starbucks put it on their menu as Honey Citrus Mint Tea.
This hot tea drink is a delightful blend of Teavana Jade Citrus Mint green tea and Peach Tranquility herbal tea. The tea bags are steeped in hot water and steamed lemonade with a touch of honey blend syrup.
For even more minty flavor, some customers request peppermint syrup, too. Not me. I think it’s perfect the way it comes.

13. Matcha Green Tea Latte (Hot)
Starbucks Japanese green tea matcha blend and steamed milk come together to create a sweet and creamy Hot Matcha Green Tea Latte that customers love.
However, a word of caution, if you’re looking for a healthy matcha drink, this isn’t it.
Starbucks matcha powder contains sugar and a grande matcha green tea latte, for instance, has 32 grams of it.
Nonetheless, this hot matcha latte tastes really good and it’s easy to see why Starbucks customers buy it again and again.
